We got up, enjoyed some coffee and eggs and just
enjoyed a bit of time around the Casita before heading back to Canyonlands. It was a beautiful morning, cool but so pretty. To be honest, we haven't had many mornings to sit outside! But I am not complaining about the weather, it has been lovely and cool and we have loved it! We don't mind sitting outside with our fleeces on!
We had
a really nice day looking over many overlooks and short hikes, we didn’t do
any long ones today, Larry didn’t feel up to it and I have developed a blister on top of
my little toe that is giving me fits! So even though cold, I am in my Chaco's today in hopes that will let things heal! But that did not keep us from taking in lots of amazing views!!!
Love this man!
We
came back to the campground about
2:45 and Larry took about a 2 ½ half hour nap! Yeah for him!!! I did
some reading, which was
fun for me and then we got ready as we are taking a Colorado River
Boat Tour tonight. The boat ride was very
nice and really was cool to see this MASSIVE river from this angle. The captain was
a
really nice young man and had a very cute dry sense of humor so he made
it
quite fun, that part we loved. Saw some rock climbers and lots of cool sights! When we returned to the dock the second
part of our tour was advertised as a "Dutch Oven Meal"...but it was horrible. They had put
food into aluminum
pots to serve it but there was nothing dutch over about it! Yuck. We
were so
disappointed and then we (all the people on the boat) sat at one long
table…awkward!!! Then we left. Thankfully
the boat tour was good and we got some great pictures, especially of a
storm-clouds building.
I was so excited from far away...when I saw the colors of this bird, I thought it was an eagle...but it wasn't. :(

Okay, so these clouds were sooo cool...as you can see I could not quit taking pictures!!!
When
we went to two different pharmacies looking for
something for me to put over the blister so we can hike tomorrow! Hope
it
works cause I am planning on hiking in Moah another day! Another a very good day. It
has been fairly cool and rainy (COLD at times) the entire time we have
been a Moab. Tomorrow is
suppose to be dryer and we are looking forward to some warm sunshine! We
have
worn coats every day since arriving. Funny considering they are usually
in the upper 80’s by this time. We love this weather, just a little more
challenging to hike when the trails are wet, slick and muddy.
We called it a night, watched some "Unit" and enjoyed a wonderful nights sleep!
